Welcome to the municipal camping
Les Platanes**
Ideally located on the edge of the Charente river, in a beautiful shaded setting, the camping has 70 pitches and a petanque area.
It is accessible to people with reduced mobility. Double axles are prohibited.
The municipal camping offers a canvas bungalow for rent. Free WIFI.
Close to a small, picturesque village where are concentrated all the shops necessary for a pleasant stay.
Sports and cultural activities, visits, activities nearby.
Prices
Josy, Annick or Corinne will offer you large shaded and flowered pitches on the edge of the Charente river in a peaceful and relaxing environment, ideal for relaxation and summer recreation.
Different amenities (WiFi, self-service library, washing machine, freezer ...), a heartful welcome (friendship pot on Saturday evening) and proximity to shops (300 meters) will enhance your stay.
Montignac-Charente
Montignac is located at the crossroads of two important Roman roads: the Agrippa way, going from Saintes to Lyon which crosses the Charente to Montignac, and the Roman way from Nantes to Périgueux.
Former stronghold of Count Guillaume d'Angoulême known as "Taillefer" in the 12th century. The town is located 15 kms northwest of Angoulême.
